CRITERIA & GUIDELINES
  1. Grant applications will be accepted from an individual, business or organization that submit a grant request (not to exceed $10,000.00). The Farm Show Board of Directors will review all grant applications to select the awardees.
  2. Grants will not be awarded for standard operational expenses such as payroll or utilities, political purposes or websites.
  3. Priority of awards will be given to applications that:
    1. Promote a sense of community within the Butler area.
    2. Help others in need or improve the quality of life within the Butler area.
    3. Provide education related to the areas of community service.
  4. All applicants may be asked to present their project to the committee upon request for consideration. This will allow the applicant the opportunity to show their passion for their project and be able to answer any pending questions the committee may have.
  5. An individual, business or organization may only apply for one individual grant per year. Winners may reapply every year, but new projects will receive priority consideration. It should not be presumed that any applicant will be awarded a grant on an annual basis, nor should the availability of these grant awards be considered an annual part of any applicant’s budget.
  6. Nothing shall prevent the Farm Show grant review committee from withholding part or all of the total monies available to annual awards should they feel that insufficient qualified requests have been submitted.
  7. This document will be reviewed annually to enhance and amend.
  8. All funds will be awarded at the completion of the project (unless otherwise agreed upon between the Farm Show and awardee). Recipients are responsible to complete a final report. The final report may be submitted for reimbursement any time between September 1, 2026 and June 30, 2027. Criteria and format for the final report will be provided to each recipient and includes a summary, photos and receipts of their project.
